Street Markets in Key West

There’s perhaps no better place in the continental United States to watch the sunset than over the Gulf of Mexico in Key West. That’s precisely why every evening throughout the year, both locals and visitors gather at Mallory Square to partake in the traditional Sunset Celebration, a true celebration of all things Key West, from the brilliant sunsets to dynamic local artists, vendors, and performers who showcase their talent and creativity.

Arrive early to this carnival-like celebration and try conch fritters and coconut drinks while watching jugglers and trained animals perform, or watch the boats as they sail in and out of the harbor.

See the crowds multiply throughout the evening to watch “the greatest show in Key West” — the sunset. Revel in this unique celebration when everyone — natives and tourists — slow down to toast the end of another fantastic Key West day.

For a more low key affair, jaunt off to the heart of historic Old Town Key West to the Eaton Street Seafood Market where you’ll discover an eclectic array of fresh seafood like groupers, snappers, deep-water exotics, lobster, stone crab, and Key West pink shrimp. Experts are on hand to lend tips on preparing your catch and will identify the area where it was caught.

An open-air bazaar teeming with local artists, authors, crafters, musicians and more, the Key West Artisan Market offers a vibrant atmosphere to mingle and interact with local artists while also picking up fresh produce and baked goods. This seasonal market is held each Sunday from mid-fall through mid-spring.

Our welcoming Hyatt Residence Club properties — Windward Pointe, Beach House and Sunset Harbor — are the perfect home base from which to explore unique street markets and festivals that allow you to indulge in the true flavors of Key West.
